Vault support as a credential provider

Vault is a very popular, open source credential manager that supports tokens, passwords, certificates, API keys and others. Please consider integration with Royal TS.

More info: https://www.vaultproject.io/

"Vault secures, stores, and tightly controls access to tokens, passwords, certificates, API keys, and other secrets in modern computing. Vault handles leasing, key revocation, key rolling, and auditing. Through a unified API, users can access an encrypted Key/Value store and network encryption-as-a-service, or generate AWS IAM/STS credentials, SQL/NoSQL databases, X.509 certificates, SSH credentials, and more."

Hi Tim,

just wanted to let you know that we're working on a generic way to integrate with external data sources for the next major version.

How exactly this will work I can't yet say since we're still in the prototyping phase but it should allow you to use most kinds of centralized credential management systems.

cheers,

felix

Hi Tim,

The first beta with support for Dynamic Folders and Dynamic Credentials is now available!

You can get the beta here: https://www.royalapplications.com/ts/mac/features-beta

Documentation for the feature is available here: https://www.royalapplications.com/go/kb-all-royaljson

In the coming weeks we will post a couple sample scripts to make getting started easier.

cheers,

felix

Hi Tim,

we now have several sample scripts for our Dynamic Folder feature in our Toolbox repository on Github. While Vault is not among the samples right now, you may want to give implementing a dynamic folder script a shot with the provided samples as reference.

Many thx,

felix
