I would like to suggest it being possible to edit dashboard fields - from the dashboard

I have started adding some custom fields, and would like to be able to edit them from the Dashboard or move their position in the column ordering

Hi Russell,

unfortunately editing in the dashboard is not supported. However, you could use bulk-edit to update one or more custom fields on multiple objects:
